Description

Eight alphabets to use with the knitting machine.

They can be used to personalize garments, make banners, add monograms or initials or relate a message with our knitting.  The eight styles  are different sizes and most of them have upper and lower case letters as well as numbers.

Each letter is a separate design and has it’s own individual name, file name and track and pattern number.  There are special information for DAK users.

Designs included:

  • 3 x 5 Alphabet – block upper case style and most letters are 3 sts wide and all of them are 5 rows high
  • 4 x 7 Alphabet – block upper case and lower case.  Most are 4 sts wide and 7 rows high.  The lower case is 3 sts wide and 5 rows high.  the letters have a slight slanted look to them.
  • Block Alphabet – Upper and lower case letters and numbers.  Most upper case are 7 sts wide and all are 10 rows high.  Lower case may vary but most are  sts wide and 7 rows high.
  • Liquid Crystal Alphabets – this style is similar to electronic device style of upper and lower case letters.  Most upper case are 7 sts wide and 10 rows high.  The lower case are mostly 7 sts wide and 9 rows high.
  • Old World – Renaissance or fancy style upper and lower case letters and numbers.  Most upper case are 10 sts wide and 19 rows high and lower case 6 sts wide and 12 rows high.
  • Sampler – Early American style upper and lower case letters and numbers (like on cross stitch).  Most upper case are 7 sts wide and 10 rows high.  Most lower case are 4sts wide and 6 rows high.
  • Script – Handwritten style of upper and lower case letters.  Most of the upper case letters are 7 sts wide and 10 rows high.  Lower case letters are 7 sts wide and 5 rows high.
  • Shadowed Sport – large uppercase letters and numbers shadowed to the right.  The letters are between 27 to 62 sts wide and all are 46 rows high.  The capital O is used for the zero as well

    Design Disks are available in three different formats

    • Brother/Knitking 930 Disks: can be used on all machines KH 930 and newer.  Requires the FB100 disk drive.
    • Brother/Knitking 940 Disks: can be used on all machines KH 940 and newer.  Requires the FB100 disk drive
    • DesignaKnit CD: can be used along with DesignaKnit (.pat, .stp or both) format.  Requires the DesignaKnit software
