0158 - Garter Carriage Coat

Garter stitch is great for coats and jackets. The garter carriage knits yarn a little heavier than normally works easy on the standard machine.

The body and sleeves of this coat are an all over texture. The yoke, collar, cuffs and pocket trim are a diamond design. The underside of the collar, inside of the pockets & cuffs, as well as the lining of the yoke are knitted in a fairisle design. Shoulder pads can be tucked between the yoke lining and the yoke to be neatly concealed. A latched trim divides the body and the yoke as well as the pocket trim.

More Afghans for You is a collection of afghans and coverlets using the standard or the bulky knitting machines. Many types of stitches add to the variety of textures. Some are designed for the electronic machines but can be manually selected on the punchcard machines. the afghans designed for the bulky machines can be knitted every other needle on the standard machines. An adjustment to the tension is all that may be required.
